Feb 14,2008: "Happy B-Day Rick Hessek!!
For all those who choose to hug their pillows this morning missed out on a great morning to run. Light snow falling with no wind. Little icy for the last mile. We were able to make it up and back down without the crazy snowplow driver chasing us down.
Feb 7,2008:
Only 4 more Thursday morning Cheyenne Canon Runs. Daylight Savings Time starts March 8. Hopefully with the upcoming warm temperatures all the snow will melt on the top portion of High Drive so people can run some PR's . Today's run was dry for the first 3 miles and snow packed / packed powder for the last mile.
Jan 31,2008:
Cold. Snow on road…all the way up. The crazy guy driving with the plow had not scraped the road before we started.
High Dr was not too bad, but some ice under the light snow…starting Temp around 10 F, however with the wind chill…much lower.

Jan 10,2008:
The 1st three miles were a bit slick but overall in good shape. The last mile was 6 inches of fresh powder from the recent snowfall.
Jan 3,2008:
No complaints on the weather. 41 Degrees at 6:00 a.m. Big improvement from those single digit morning temperatures we just had a couple of days ago. The official starting clock was out for repairs this morning so we were unable to determine the fastest to the top.
Dec 27,2007-We had a good turnout of 13 again. The road was a little slick and High Dr was crappy footing. Looks like JT stole the pineapple with his sand-bag first week. He improved by 2 minutes and thus the pineapple win.
Dec 20,2007-This morning we had a turnout of 13 brave souls. Those that waited for me to finish at the top were rewarded with $20 gift certificates per person.
Dec 15,2007-Freaking cold. 6 people showed up for a run starting at Woodmen, ran north on Santa Fe for an hour or so. It was 5 degrees out.
Dec 14,2007-Yesterday we had a big turnout for the morning run. Here is the report: It was a cold, slick and very poor footing on High Dr, but we had our best turnout for the season with 14. The temp was in the teens. Even by 7:30 after running back down, the temp read 18. I do not have all he times or names of all who showed, but here is what I have.

Some of us did not recognize him at first, since he has lost nearly 50lbs. Great job Gordon, now lets see you get your butt in running shape!

Aug 24 - The 2005 LT100 is now history, and Team CRUD had a great showing again this year! We had several outstanding runs by first time 100 runners. Dan Vega and Harry Harcrow in particular ran great races to get in the top 10 in their first 100. Solof got under 20 hours and Joe is one away from his 10 year buckle. In the race for the Pink shirt, I guess we will just have to share it this year, as 4 of us DNF'd! I was able to take pictures of most of the CRUD runners coming over Hope Pass and will get those developed and posted in the next few days. The quote of the day goes to Rich Muzzy, who said of Eric right after the finish, "his legs slowed down but his mouth never did." 2 Dan Vega 19:03 3 Erik Solof 19:15 4 Joe Kulak 19:28 6 Brian Fisher 19:51 10 Harry Harcrow 21:07 David Wilcox 23:23 Art Long 23:47 Keith Grimes 24:32 Todd Holmes 25:49 Paul Smith 26:10 Larry DeWitt 27:54 Eric Gabe 28:10 Bill Ransom DNF Ted Bidwell DNF Judy DeWitt DNF Paul DeWitt DNF
