ToposThe following links show some of our typical training runs. Greenland Open Space: This run starts and ends at the Palmer Lake trailhead (end of Sante Fe Trail). It is 17.2 miles if you run one outer loop and one inner loop. Cheyenne Canon Hill Tempo Run: This run starts at the Starsmore Discovery Center and finishes at the top of High Drive. Loop from Palmer Lake up to Rampart Road and back: This run starts at that the Palmer Lake trailhead and goes up a FS road (323 I think) to Rampart Rd. You then go right for about 2 miles, then come down FS 324 back to Palmer Lake. Loop up Gold Camp and Old Stage road and back down trails:From the dirt parking lot, go up Gold Camp, then Old Stage to near Frosty Park. Then take 379 to 668 to 7 Bridges trail to come back down. Falcon Loop. From the B52 parking area to the loop, around the loop, and back to the B52 it is 12.4 miles and 1750 feet climb/descent. The loop itself is 11.2 miles. The public has access to the B52 so no gate hassles. Woodmen to Falcon Loop. From Woodmen Rd parking area to the loop, around the loop, and back to Woodmen Rd parking is 21.7 miles and 2140 feet climb/descent. The loop itself is 11.2 miles. Turn left just before Ice Lake and cross the railroad tracks. Then veer off to the right and run through the stables till you come to the loop. |
